Charlottesville native Dan and Washingtonian Alex met at UVA where Dan was getting his Architecture degree.  After graduating they moved to New York City where Alex earned a degree in interior design from the New York School of Interior Design and Dan worked as an architect designing everything from high end apartment renovations to high rise apartment buildings. 

Alex went to work for prestigious New York City interior design firm Alan Tanksley Inc. designing and furnishing beautiful apartments and houses around the world.  While working as an architectural designer Dan developed an expertise in Building Information Modeling and all things I.T., eventually becoming the firm wide Director of Design Technology and I.T. for HLW International, a top global architecture and interior design firm.  

After moving back to Charlottesville to settle down and start a family Dan and Alex founded Bracey Designs in 2016 to pursue their shared passion for designing beautiful, livable spaces.
